[ARCHIVED] G-Star Graduation Parade

graduationparade_thumb

At 1:00PM, the procession will leave our complex, via the south access road, and will then make a left to go south on Davis Road to Greenbrier Drive. From there, they will turn left to go east on Greenbrier Drive and then left to go north on Congress Avenue to Meadow Road. They will turn right on Meadow Road to go east to Prairie Road where they will turn left and go north until they reach the east side entrance of G-Star. Once inside G-Star’s parking lot, they will receive their diplomas and conclude the parade.

There will be police personnel along the way to guide traffic and a police vehicle and a fire truck will be at the front leading the procession. To avoid affecting too much traffic, we will most likely stagger the total group into smaller groups of vehicles.

Many of the students will be decorating their vehicles for the event, and there will also be other Village staff members, citizens and students’ families parked along the way cheering on the group.  Unfortunately, these students will not experience a traditional graduation, so this will at least make up for it a little. It also gives the Village, the Police and Fire Departments the opportunity to give back to a community that has always been supportive of us.
