[ARCHIVED] Notice of Village General Election- March 12, 2019

The Village's General Election will be held on March 12, 2019, for a Council Member in District 1, a Council Member in District 2, a Council Member in District 3 and a Council Member in District 4.  Any person who has continuously been a resident of the Village of Palm Springs for one (1) year preceding the date of qualification, who is 18 years of age or over, and who is registered voter of the Village, will be eligible to hold office.  The candidate for a Council seat must reside within the District he or she wishes to represent.  Candidates must file written notice with the Village Clerk.  Qualifying (filing) will open at Noon on Monday, November 5, 2018 and close at Noon on Monday, November 19, 2018.  Filing will be held during regular business hours 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday.  The filing fee is $166 for a Council seat.  Contact Kimberly Wynn, Village Clerk at (561) 965-4010 (ext 5084) or via email at kwynn@vpsfl.org, for additional information on becoming a candidate.

Doug Gunther currently holds the Council Member position for District 1.  Patti Waller currently holds the Council Member position for District 2.  There is a vacancy for District 3.  Joni Brinkman holds the Council Member position for District 4.
