[ARCHIVED] Interested in Serving Your Community? Apply Today for the Vacant District 3 Village Council Seat!

The Village of Palm Springs is currently accepting applications for the vacant Village Council Seat in District 3.  If you have an interest, applications must be submitted by Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Noon. 

Council members help determine policy, govern our ordinances and represent the interests of our residents in Palm Springs.  The vacancy is only open until the next election in March 2019.  

The current vacancy is due to the unfortunate passing of Council Member Liz Shields. Ms. Shields was a dedicated member of the Village Council who loved Palm Springs and turned her love into public service.  

Qualifications to apply in accordance to the Village Charter (Section 3.02) include:

  • A registered voter of the Village of Palm Springs
  • A Village of Palm Springs resident for at least one (1) year
  • Must live in District 3- click the link to see the map
  • Complete the District 3 Village Council application 
  • Submit the completed application by Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Noon 
To be considered for appointment, your application must be received by the Village Clerk no later than Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Noon.  Applications that are mailed must be postmarked on or before the deadline to be considered. 

A Special Meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 6:30 pm in the Village Council Chambers to interview and potentially appoint a successor to fill the vacancy for District 3 Village Council Seat.
