[ARCHIVED] Notice to Non-residential Water and Sewer Customers

Previously, the Readiness to Serve charge was based on the number of units in a non-residential structure, such as the number of bays in a strip center or the number of separate office suites in an office building.  Beginning October 1, the Readiness-to-Serve charge will be based on meter size.  This is the basis used by almost all other water utilities.  This change was made to provide a more equitable rate structure as the size of the meter relates to the potential demand for water which the Village must be ready to serve.

The impact of this change on customers will be seen on your November utility bill.  Customers who may have an oversize meter, larger than is really needed under the plumbing Code, may wish to request the Village to install a smaller meter in order to reduce future utility costs.  For additional questions you may contact the Utilities office at (561)965-5770.
