[ARCHIVED] Village of Palm Springs plants Tabebuia Tree to Celebrate Arbor Day on Friday, April 22nd

The Village of Palm Springs hosted an Arbor Day Celebration where staff and residents attended a tree-planting Ceremony at the Maintenance & Utilities building located at 2400 Kirk Road on Friday, April 22nd at 10:00 a.m. The Village planted a Tabebuia tree which announces springtime in South Florida, with varieties that flower in pink, lavender-pink, and golden yellow.

The Village has been awarded the designation of "Tree City USA" for 23 consecutive years as recognition of our on-going commitment to beautify the community with natural and native landscapes. In this picture, Village Manager Rich Reade, Mayor Pro Tem Patti Waller, Maintenance Worker Josea Ivory, owner of A Kids World of Fun and Learning Day Care Tairetha Foster, Rev. Jean Beniste of Holy Redeemer Episcopal Church, and Pastor Paul Lewis of Palm Springs Baptist Church throw dirt on the newly planted Tabebuia tree.
