The Village of Palm Springs, in conjunction with Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful, Inc and the Solid Waste Authority, hosted the Great American Cleanup on Saturday, April 18th from 8:00 a.m. until noon. The day’s activities were centered in and around Sago Park. 30 Volunteers participated and were given a free t-shirt, supplies needed for the cleanup, and enjoyed a cookout and refreshments following their efforts.
All in all, close to a thousand pounds of trash was collected by the volunteers. Special thanks to the Palm Springs Police Department for making sure the volunteers were safe while working in the right-of-ways and to the Police Explorer Unit for their efforts as well.
