Great American Cleanup 2015 group.jpg

The Village of Palm Springs, in conjunction with Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful, Inc and the Solid Waste Authority, hosted the Great American Cleanup on Saturday, April 18th from 8:00 a.m. until noon. The day’s activities were centered in and around Sago Park. 30 Volunteers participated and were given a free t-shirt, supplies needed for the cleanup, and enjoyed a cookout and refreshments following their efforts.

All in all, close to a thousand pounds of trash was collected by the volunteers. Special thanks to the Palm Springs Police Department for making sure the volunteers were safe while working in the right-of-ways and to the Police Explorer Unit for their efforts as well. Pictured here are members of the Palm Springs Village Council, Village Staff, Police Department, and volunteers who helped make this year’s Cleanup a resounding success.
