Staff is recommending replacement of the Davis Road Pedestrian Bridge (at the L-10 Canal) as the FY2015-16 CDBG grant project. The Davis Road Pedestrian Bridge project is already programmed in the Village's 6-Year Capital Improvement Program with an estimated cost of $115,000. As an "Entitlement City", the Village has been informed that it will receive $99,701 for a qualified CDBG grant project. This is a reimbursement grant, and the Village will pay for any project costs that exceed the grant allocation. As a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), the selected project must 1) benefit low and moderate income persons, 2) include a public facility in need of repair or replacement, including ADA and accessibility improvements, and/or 3) aid in the elimination of blight. A project must be selected, and an application filed with Palm Beach County by May 4th.
