Benefits Summary

  • HEALTH, DENTAL & VISION INSURANCE EFFECTIVE: Insurance coverage becomes effective the 1st of the month following your 60th day of employment.
  • Health insurance: Humana HMO Premier Plan or HMO Base Plan. In- Network coverage ONLY. There is NO OUT OF NETWORK MEDICAL COVERAGE.
  • Dental Insurance: Humana Traditional Preferred DPPO. Out of Network available
  • Vision Insurance: Humana Insight Vision Plan
  • Group Life Insurance: The Village buys you a policy valued at the minimum annual salary for your position rounded to the next $5,000 up to $50,000 maximum.
  • **Deductions starts the 1st full pay period of the month your Dental, Health & Life coverage becomes effective.**
  • PENSION PLAN: FRS (Florida Retirement System): Mandatory 3% employee contribution of your gross salary. An employee is fully vested after 8 years of service.
  • PROBATION: All positions serve a six (6) months probation period.
  • HOLIDAYS: We have fourteen paid holidays per year. Police Holiday is paid or comp at 10 hours for holidays except birthday which is paid at 8 hours. Birthday is an additional paid holiday but must be requested on an Absence Request and approved by supervisor and taken in the same week as the birthday occurs.
