The Property Improvement Program is intended to promote reinvestment in the community by providing up to $5,000 in matching grant funds (provided on a reimbursement basis) for property owners to improve the exterior of their residential or commercial property.

Upcoming Deadline for Property Improvement (Matching) Grant Program
As an incentive to encourage residents and business owners to renovate their property, the Village of Palm Springs is again offering financial assistance, on a reimbursement basis, for construction projects that 1) require a building permit, 2) cost at least $500, and 3) enhance the visual appeal and value of the residence/business. Specific program details and the application form can be found on the Village website, or call the Planning, Zoning & Building Department at 561-965-4016 for more information.
Final cycle for Fiscal Year 19 is Friday, May 17, 2019. Work must be completed and paperwork submitted by Friday, August 30, 2019 - call for details.
First cycle for Fiscal Year 20 is Friday, August, 30, 2019

Solid Waste Authority Recycled Paint Donation Program
Village of Palm Springs residents can get a one-time donation of free, high-quality exterior latex house paint to update the exterior of their homes.
To qualify for this donation recipients must:
- Reside in Palm Beach County
- Be single-family homeowners only
- Occupy the home they own
- Have a home up to 3,000 square feet according to the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser's records (includes garage, porches, carports etc.)
- Homes must be pressure-washed prior to painting
If you qualify for this program you can visit Paint or call the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County's Customer Services Team at 561-697-2700 ext. 4717. If approved, you will choose from the 10 colors offered and the paint will be available in four to six (4-6) weeks. Applicants will be contacted when their paint is available.
Want to Donate Your Old Paint: Palm Beach County residents who have old paint to donate may visit any of the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County's seven Home Chemical and Recycling Centers (Home Chemical and Recycling Centers Website) and drop it off for free.
Small businesses may be able to dispose of old paint through the SWA for a fee. For more information, visit the SWA's Hazardous Waste Services Businesses page Small Business Waste Disposal or call 561-687-1100.
Each year, the SWA recycles more than 120,000 lbs. of latex paint and safely disposes of more than 1 million pounds of household hazardous waste. There are seven (7) convenient county locations for residents to drop off their home chemicals:
