How to Set Up an Account

If you are inquiring about new utility account with the Village of Palm Springs, please contact our office at (561) 965-5770 to speak with a customer relations clerk Customer Relations Clerk.

Renters

·         Please provide the following documents when setting up a new account;

·         Copy of the current rental permit issues by the Village of Palm Springs to the landlord

·         Valid lease agreement.

·         A valid government issued ID will need to be presented.

·         $170 for the deposit and $35.00 for the service charge fee. Please note that deposits are based on the meter size and a standard 5/8 meter is $170.00 and a service charge of $35.00.

·         For in person same day service, you will need to be in our utility office lobby no later than 2:00 pm. After 2:00 pm, utility service will begin the next business day.

·         For same day service requested via e-mail, please provide the above listed documents no later than 2:00 pm with a valid phone number so that we may call and collect the deposit for service via credit or debit card.

·         For faster service, please have a copy of all required documents prior to your office visit.


*Please note that we do not accept pictures of closing documents or leases and these documents must be in PDF format.

Owners

·         If you are a property owner, a copy of the current rental permit.

·         Proof of ownership. For example, a closing settlement or HUD.

·         A valid government issued ID will need to be presented.

Commercial

If you are inquiring about a new utility account for commercial units, please contact our office at (561) 965-5770 and speak to a customer relations clerk to have appropriate information provided.

Forms

  • Application form will be completed in the office.
  • New Account Residential information form will be provided once the account has been opened.

Payments

The Village of Palm Springs accepts cash, check, money orders, and all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and Discover) with the exception of American Express as payment methods.

Turn Fixtures to Off Position

Please be sure that prior to establishing service all fixtures within the property are in the off position. The Village of Palm Springs is not responsible for any flooding that is caused due to open fixtures. If a field technician notices that something is running, we will be unable to turn water on there may be an additional service charge if our field technician has to make a return trip due to open fixtures.
