In addition to the training unit, code enforcement, property and evidence, records, crime analysis, emergency communications, and the school crossing guards, the Support Division provides the following services and functions.
This office disseminates information to members of the media so they can pass it on to the public promptly and accurately. To speak with this office, please contact (561) 584-8300.
Pill Drop Box
The Police Department provides a way to dispose of unwanted medications by maintaining a pill drop box in the department lobby. Citizens can simply drop off unwanted medication with no questions asked. The department will properly dispose of the medications. This prevents unwanted prescription drugs from being flushed away or thrown in the garbage, which can end up in the county dump and in our water supply.
The Records Unit is located at the front lobby of the Police Department and can be contacted at (561) 584-8300. Their hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
As a convenience, copies of accident reports can be requested via website. There is an increased fee for obtaining crash reports online, however, reports are still available from our Records Unit at the police department or by using the "Request a Police Report" link on the main page.
Volunteers observe and report suspicious activity. They can also assist with clerical duties, department functions, and community projects. For more information, please contact our Support Services Manager, at (561) 584-8300 Ext 8513.
