The Parks and Recreation Department hosts multiple Special Events throughout the year. Each event is designed for the enjoyment of Palm Springs residents. Please note, due to the coronavirus pandemic, some events may be canceled.

Tree Lighting Ceremony

The Village of Palm Springs will kick-off the holiday season with a Christmas tree lighting and Menorah presentation. Residents and their families are invited to celebrate with us and listen to live musical performances from local schools. 

Santa’s Sleigh Ride

Santa loves Palm Springs so much that he rides throughout the Village greeting everyone on one special day in December. 

Dinner with Santa

Children between the ages of 5 and 10 years old will enjoy arts and crafts, games, and receive a special visit from the big guy himself! Kids will enjoy a pizza and chicken nugget dinner before the activities and have a chance to tell Santa what they would like for Christmas. Must purchase tickets in advance, space is limited. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Letters from Santa & Mrs. Claus

Sign your child up to receive a letter from Santa. Forms may be picked up and filled out at the Parks and Recreation Department. 

Holiday Decorating Contest

Palm Springs residents are invited to participate in the Annual Holiday Decorating Contest! Show your best Holiday decorations during the month of December for a chance to win a $100 from the Village of Palm Springs. Forms to participate may be picked up and filled out at the Parks and Recreation Department beginning in mid November.

Health and Wellness Event

This family friendly event showcases a variety of ways for everyone to get out and moving. There will be workouts, Yoga, Martial Arts and Pickleball clinic. The action packed festival will also provide an opportunity to register for the Step It Up Challenge and go on a Fitness Walk with Mayor, Bev Smith!

Touch a Truck

Join the Village of Palm Springs for the annual Watch-A-Truck event (Formerly Touch-A-Truck)  in the Palm Springs Athletic Complex Parking Lot, located at 226 Cypress Lane, Palm Springs, FL 33461. The Athletic Complex parking area will transform into a service vehicle playground and children will be invited to let their imaginations run wild as they explore their favorite trucks and service equipment. Children will be able to look at vehicles and explore the inner workings of vehicles as well as learn how these trucks help the community each day.


Family Fun Day

Come out for fun under the sun at the Village of Palm Springs for the Annual Bicycle Rodeo & Chalk Art Festival! Held in the Palm Springs Library parking lot, 217 Cypress Lane, Palm Springs, FL 33461, participants will be able to ride their bicycles through a bicycle safety course, join the Palm Springs Mayor, Bev Smith for a group bike ride, and compete for prizes during the Chalk Art Festival!


Easter Eggstravaganza

The Easter Eggstravaganza will feature an exciting egg hunt for children up to the age of 10. 


Bark in the Park

Bark in the Park is coming to Palm Springs. Bring your four-legged friends out for music, food, games, and doggie costume contest. We are looking for veterinarian offices and groomers to participate so please call the Palm Springs Parks & Rec Dept if you or someone you know is interested in joining us!
 

4th of July Celebration 

Celebrate America's Birthday with the Village of Palm Springs July 4th Celebration! This event takes place at the Municipal Complex and will feature music, free family-friendly activities, food for purchase, and a beautiful fireworks display to wrap up the evening. Limited space is available for this event and only Palm Springs residents may register to attend. 


Hispanic Heritage

Celebrate the cultures and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans at the Hispanic Heritage Celebration! Bring your leashed Chihuahuas or other small dogs (20lbs or less) for the Chihuahua dog race! Latin Dance, piñatas, and food trucks will also be included in this awesome cultural event!
