Boys Don't Play With Dolls: A Short history of G.I. Joe  
Saturday. May 26, 2pm
Whether you are female or male, doll or action figure collector, have played with G.I. Joe or other types of action figures as a child or have children that are interested in action figures, this will be a fun afternoon! Celebrate Mother's Day, Father's Day and the summer with a special display May 7th - June 4th sponsored by the Sunshine Doll Club of Florida.

Use Garage Band, explore other apps and Create Your Own Projects Through Teen Technology Lab this summer: May - July, 2018. To reserve time to use the lab, inquire at the front desk.

BIBLIOBOARD: A new digital library that works across all mobile and web platforms and offers unlimited access to patrons. BiblioBoard’s diverse selection of multimedia content continues to grow everyday and features works from traditional publishers, historical archives, cultural institutions, independent authors, local organizations and more.  Create your profile and log into Biblioboard.

The Palm Springs Public Library announces a partnership with, a company dedicated to driver safety and education, to offer free Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) practice tests to library patrons. The new service includes free tests specifically based on the state’s DMV materials.

CCG Collectible Card Games Club - June 9th, 1-3pm:  Second Saturday of every month tweens get together to battle, trade and play Pokémon, Dragon Ball Z, and other card games. New: Pokken Tournament on Nintendo Switch.

Staff Picks/ 2nd Tuesday Book Group  June 12,
 at 6pm
Explore a different book with us each month in this relaxed setting. Second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm. The books are available in print and eBook formats at the library. Light refreshments will be served. For more information visit the Book Discussion page.

Adult Coloring - June 21, 3:00 pm
Get in the spirit of Libraries Rock! this summer with stress-relieving fun!  We have the new pages from Creative Haven's Mosaic Music!  We gather the third Thursday of each month at 3:00 pm.

Folk Club - Saturday, June 2, 1-3 pm
Play an acoustical instrument? Join this Friends of the Palm Springs Library group to play and sing folk songs.

SCBWI - Saturday, July 14, 9:30 am - Noon
Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, a sponsor of the Friends of the Palm Springs Library meet to critique members' work in all children's genres, Picture Books to YA. They also share publishing news and workshop opportunities. Members range from inexperienced to those who have many books published and are open for new members. 

AAUW - Meeting Saturday, June 2nd 9:30am
Palm Beach County branch of American Association of University Women is another of our Friends partner organizations. AAUW has been empowering women as individuals and as a community since 1881. They are a national grassroots organization to improve the lives of women and their families by breaking down educational and economic barriers for women and girls.

Facility Resources

Study rooms are available for use by two to four people. For those working on school projects, two homework rooms offer internet access. Sixteen computers are available for adults and five computers for children.

A large meeting room and a smaller conference room are available for public use by reservation only. Library director approval is required, please refer to our meeting room policy for more details.
